The Usual

Nothing really exciting going on around here, so I haven't been posting. Here's what I've been doing the past couple of days.

On Sunday, I went to Mel's reading at a local bookstore and got to see some TOOTPU (The Order of the Plastic Uterus, that is, DC area infertiles) gals there and meet Mel's husband, Josh. It's nice to have a face to go with all the stories of the guy who patiently handles Mel's 11 PM anxieties. :)

Monday and Tuesday, I was at an industry conference on leadership training and strategic decision making. A new season of The Biggest Loser was taping at the same hotel. We were just sitting around eating lunch and seeing people with walkie-talkies pass by every couple seconds, then a big bunch of people wearing the show's t-shirts walked in and we finally got it. I didn't get to see Bob or Jillian, but a couple other people did.

Last night, I went over to BFF's house where she made me a fabulous dinner (including cupcakes!) and coffee in exchange for building her Ikea furniture. Not only am I an attorney, I'm also a semi-professional Ikea construction contractor.

Tonight, TOOTPU is gathering for ice cream to see Murgdan while she's on her DC vacation! So excited!

I am so jealous that you and M get to meet! Enjoy your ice cream night with her and the rest of TOOTPU!

Don't forget, homegirl - you have cookies! :)

Damnmit! I wanna come see the TOOTPU and Murgdan! I really should come up, I'm about two hours away - just enough to make it an ordeal but I bet it would be well worth it.

Same here, same here... normalcy and all non-uterus related stuff. Which is good for now, I think.

Did you finish Breaking Dawn? Did you like it?

I would LOVE to meet Murgdan, I am begging to be sent down south this winter. I got to meet you and you were awesome. Have fun!

Can we attempt to do a repeat TOOTPU gathering when I am back in 2 weeks? OLE' CRAPOLY... that's coming up quick. I haven't gotten our schedule yet, but I will send it over STAT! E is playing at the fields just south of the ellipse.

HUGS!

Man, you DC bloggers have got it MADE. I want to visit but my darn sister had to go and move away from DC so it's not as easy to come up with an excuse.

I am so jealous of you DC area women! TOOTPU is the coolest thing ever, and it's so cool that you have so many of you so close. Meanwhile I'm here in the Canadian hinterlands...sniffle...

And look at you, accomplished multi-tasking woman! I'm not too bad at Ikea furniture building myself, but nobody has ever baked me cupcakes to do it!

Hope you are doing okay. Haven't heard from you in a while. Super cute picture of Murgdan and you. So jealous I couldn't be there. Still no word on our schedule when we are in DC (UGH!).
