Monday means I'm down to the last week of the 2ww and the last week of my detox. Yay!
Since we're currently out of Dream Dinners till our next session, I had to make our meal plan the old-fashioned way, aka stare at food blogs till I find something that a) fits with my detox, b) looks good, and c) doesn't look too complicated.
This week, I'll be borrowing heavily from A Year of Slow Cooking. I highly recommend this site for anyone looking for slow cooker ("CrockPot") recipes.
Here's the plan:
Monday: Angelhair rice pasta with meat sauce (ground turkey, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce)
Tuesday: Applesauce Chicken (CrockPot) w/ steamed broccoli
Wednesday: Hoisin Drumsticks (CrockPot) w/ brown rice and stir-fried veggies
Thursday: Indian Chicken Curry (CrockPot) w/ quinoa
Friday: Holiday Party at our building
Saturday: Dinner Out OR Fish w/ spiced quinoa mix & steamed veggies
Sunday: Salsa Chicken (CrockPot) w/ brown rice

You are a MACHINE, woman!
Brian would kill for me to be so organized with our dinners... Plus all those recipies sound great. I'm hoping to get a Crockpot for christmas this year, so that link should come in handy, thanks. =)
Glad to hear you're hanging in there with your tww. Still crossing everything for you.
Thanks for the slow cooker site. I love my crock pot but all I cook in it is turkey and pulled pork. Now, I can branch out.
Hoping the rest of your 2WW goes quick.
That book sounds great. What kind of crockpot do you have? Mine is a basic Cuisinart one and even on the warm setting it seriously over-cooks food. I mean, obviously I can just cook it for less time, but I bought it with the hope that I could toss stuff in it and get home 8 hrs later from work and have dinner all made. Any advice?
Wow! I'm seriously impressed. I think I may just have to steal some of your ideas for this week and make them our own.
I could sit down and come up with a weeks menus, but then something inevitable occurs to throw me off and they never happen.
(I'm thinking about you this week)
Oooooh. Thanks for the link! I love crock pot cooking...but the recipe book I have is getting boring. :-)
That slow cooker blog is one of my favorites. I've asked for the book as a Christmas present :-). I LOVE my slow cooker!!

I am so impressed with your willingness to cook so much! You are incredible!
