WJEN - on your FM dial

A recent conversation (before the beta)...

Jendeis: You know how I hear music in my head all the time?

JD: Okaaay.

Jendeis: When I'm pregnant, do you think that the baby can hear the music?

JD: Um...

Jendeis: You know, cause I can hear the music inside me and the baby would be inside me.  Is it like internal radio?  Is it like the baby is listening to WJEN?

JD: Well, I don't think...

Jendeis: Because I'm starting to worry that that's the case, and if we're pregnant this cycle, then I think our child came into being during a very long marathon of "Who Let the Dogs Out?".

JD: I don't think that biology works that way, hon.

Jendeis: But it almost doesn't matter if there's no internal radio, because every time I think about "Who Let the Dogs Out?", I wind up humming it or whistling it and the baby would definitely be able to hear that, right?

JD: You used to say sane things.  I miss that.

I read this aloud to BFF next to me on the couch and we both laughed our balls off and she goes, "if she listens to DMX, will the baby come out all ****grrrrrrrr******?"

maybe that is why my kids like a certain song i am too embarassed to admit that i know all the words to . . .

That would be pretty awesome, if the baby could read your thoughts. It wouldn't have to be limited just to music, right?

Maybe you're getting radio stations through the fillings in your teeth. Neato, huh?

Meanwhile, this is TAME crazy. Just wait until the pregnancy hormones kick in and you become BIG TIME crazy. As in tear-someone-a-new-one-because-of-how-they-are-chewing-their-gum crazy. Or drive-twenty-miles-in-the-wrong-direction-to-get-that-garlic-bread-that-you-MUST-HAVE-!!! crazy. It's a whole new level of crazy and impulsive and emotional. It's horrible unless you can laugh at yourself, so just prepare yourself. :-)

I'm still so freaking happy for you that I can't stop smiling.

I think we could be friends IRL, because I TOTALLY GET YOU! And, BTW, that is completely sane.

I love the conversations you two have.

That would be pretty scary if the kid could read your thoughts...you go pretty bat shit crazy during pregnancy

Thank you, now I have that song stuck in my head!! Don't worry about it too much-I don't think they can hear you humming until somewhere around 16 weeks.

Can't wait until you post tomorrow!

I really hope the baby can't hear my thoughts...If so, it will come out C-R-A-Z-Y!!!!!!!

This was a cute post that made me smile :)

I am excited for your next beta! Is it coming up soon?
