So, necessity being the mother of invention, I've started a great 5-minute-or-less makeup routine that is good for work, but I usually wind up doing this every day during the summer. The best thing about this routine is that this look is appropriate for the summer, but also works year-round.
- Apply a combination sunscreen/moisturizer. (I'm in love with this. As a multiple skin-cancer survivor, I cannot stress enough the importance of making sunscreen a part of your morning routine.)
- Using an eyeliner brush, line your upper lids with black, brown or navy shadow. (If you're feeling daring, you can experiment with different and brighter colors. I've used a bright turquoise and a dark green).
- Curl your lashes. (It takes two seconds and is so worth it! All the magazines I read recommend the Shu Uemeura brand of eyelash curler, which I got here.)
- Apply 1-2 coats of brown or black mascara.
That's it, and it Works for Me!! See more hints, tips and hacks every Wednesday at Rocks In My Dryer.

Funny...I know the feeling. I have my own 5 minute routine. Sadly, I still look like I need to put on my makeup...only I don't look as pale or sickly as I did before this "first coat." : )
I like your quick routine! I love those facial cleaners where you don't have to use water. CVS makes their own, which are pretty good. I should remember to use the eyelash curler I have. I use a moisturizer with some SPF or another in it, but I'd like to try one that is tinted.
Thanks for some pointers. I'm always trying to find a way to make this process more streamlined, even if I only do it once or twice a week now.
I love fast and easy make-up! I've hit pay dirt w/ CoverGirl's Advanced Radiance tinted moisturizer (w/ SPF). Love the stuff, and now will barely leave the house w/o it! Not to mention that it's a great price and that the tube lasts for a long time!
Hi! My name is Jendi and I came to your blog through WFMW because of your name. Is that your real name or blogger name? Is there any story behind it?
