Lunch Break

Nothing much going on here, but I got tired of looking at yesterday's post. Tonight, BFF and I will be going to a book club meeting, hosted by a law school friend of mine. Neither of us have read the book and the author (a law school professor of ours) is going to be there. Since we're both lawyers though, BFF and I are equipped with that most necessary of all lawyerly traits -- the ability to BS for minutes on end.

What awesome skill is necessary for your profession?

What job does not require the ability to BS? I was a communications major, and we thought that there should be a category on every rubric for the BS factor.

BS is a part of my job but in a different way. I am going to preface this with that I hate my job and would love to change it but $$$ says no right now!

I have to justify ridiculously high pay for executives, small increases for the masses, and make statistics etc. say what my boss wnats it to.

My brother starts Law School in August. I will tell him to prepare his BS :)

I have to be organized. I don't have to BS often at all because I never talk to anyone!

Hmm...I have to be able to handle my beer and guys who make crude jokes, use bad language, and hit on me.
It's a pretty good job.

I have to stroke egos all day long; MD, CRNA, RN, residents, and surgical techs. It can be sort of like herding cats some days. I found if people feel good, they are more likely to want to be in your room and work with you.

I'm in purchasing, so I'm pretty good at calling people out on BS :)
