What I Want Most: a Library

I was born with a reading list I will never finish.
-- Maud Casey

This link takes you to my current "to read" list. It is long, it is involved, it may be a tad unrealistic. The original is organized and sorted in an Excel spreadsheet.

Have any recommendations for other books or comments on ones that I've listed? Please leave a comment here for us all to share.

I've read "Kabul Beauty School" and "Pope Joan"...both excellent. I have Bel Canto sitting at home on my nightstand and I'm starting it after I finish my book club book "1000 White Women" which BTW, I'm enjoying. I really liked "Snowflake and the Secret Fan".

Damn you're organized! And yeah, that is a very ambitious list.

I just have to say that I loved the annotated version of P&P. I've read that book so many times, but I learned so much from the annotations. Of course, I'm kind of an Austen freak.

I'm a terrible reader now. I love to read, but I have so many books piled up TO read, hell, I'll never get through them.

I use shelfari because I can access it anywhere. If you go to the book section on my blog (lower right) there's a link to all the books on my "shelf".

I went to Ikea today and bought a whole bunch of bookcases so I can have a library area in my office. (I have a place for all those books!)

wow - ambitious! I've only read 2 books on your list - The Bean Trees and My Antonia. I think I liked them both. It's been awhile!
