Becoming Isidore

I am transforming. In my mind, I am becoming Isidore. Isidore -- an 80-year old Brooklyn-ite transplanted to Florida who still wears his Members Only jacket on 90-degree days. You know what else Isidore does? He wears his pants real high.

In the first picture, you'll notice that my waist is directly between my two "bleems" (as I call them). My pants should rest at my waist with the auxiliary or helper bleem over and the primary bleem under the waistband of the pants. Now, my pants are where Isidore wears them, chest-high, over my waist and over the auxiliary bleem.

I'm becoming Isidore because I've lost weight. Yes, it's a good thing. But all my pants are now too long and I'm worried that I'm going to start complaining about the size of the portions at MY restaurant that I eat in every single day. Oh wait, I'm already there. Sheesh.

Reminds of when my best friend moved away in grade 12, and when I went to visit her, her friend and neighbour told her that when he first saw her, he thought she was a zaida. We all just about peed our pants laughing cause you could totally see it. But it was the tail end of 80s, and waists were pretty darn high, so I guess that's a good excuse.
