WARNING: The following can be considered a self-centered vent. Read on if you dare.
Not that I begrudge anyone from focusing on female-factor infertility. Far from it. Just that it's nice to read stuff that applies to what you are going through. Even so, I've yet to see a truly comprehensive article or blog dealing with our particular problem so far.* In fact, it just took me a full 15 minutes to find that not-so helpful Wikipedia article.
Additionally, we haven't found a resource (doctor or otherwise) who is able to give us concrete steps on what to do to resolve the situation, beyond the untenable solution of John Dear going off his meds.
*Not that I want us to have another problem, just that I don't know if that is our only barrier to conception.

That *is* exciting. I have read so many freaking articles about women over 40 trying to get pregnant and dealing with infertility that you'd think as long as the female partner's under 40, you're golden.
A lot of men put off having an SA done because they refuse to believe it could be *their* problem. It took three months to get my husband to get one. Having more articles about MFI can only help.
Thank you SO much for posting this--I am going to save it to read later with Mook. I appreciate any effort to bring male factor to the forefront!
Totally agree about shining a big, bright light on MFI. Although our situation is different (failed vasectomy reversal), it still would be great if the world understood that it's not all down to us women. Plus it would be nice if men thought about their fertility even a fraction as much as most of the women I know.

Thank you so much for posting this article! I will say that when we were in England for 2 weeks in October, I saw more articles about MFI during that time than I've seen in the US my whole life. It seems much more talked about over there, and I hope eventually we catch up to them.
